There is no single fair roofing price without the scope. A useful quote should explain what is being repaired, the materials, access or scaffolding, waste removal, VAT position and what happens if extra damage is uncovered.

Signs the total may be hard to compare

- Scaffolding, access equipment or waste removal are not mentioned.

- A large deposit is requested without a clear schedule or written scope.
